Gruesome discovery found as fire crews extinguish car fire in Mississippi city
Police investigators are looking for clues and waiting for forensic experts to help identify the victim after a body was found inside a burning car Sunday afternoon.
Jackson, Mississippi, police report fire crews were dispatched to the 4900 block of South Drive to extinguish a care fire in a wooded area.
After crews put the fire out, the gruesome discovery was a made.
Both the body and the charred remnants of the car have been sent to the state crime lab for further investigation and possible identification.
