Mississippi facility earns $122M contract to build Army helicopters

A plant in Mississippi will be making $122.6 million worth of helicopters for the Army.
The contract with Airbus Helicopters Inc. of Grand Prairie, Texas, was in a list of military contracts released Tuesday evening.
It said the 15 UH-72 Lakota light utility helicopters will be made at the Airbus plant in Columbus, Mississippi, with an expected completion date of Aug. 31, 2022.
The money is from Army aircraft procurement funds in the fiscal 2018 budget.
