Four new coronavirus cases detected in Mississippi bringing total known cases to 10

The Mississippi Department of Health Sunday announced four new COVID-19 coronavirus cases have been identified.

Weekend tests confirmed the new cases, bringing Mississippi’s total cases statewide to 10.

Mississippi Department of Health officials said the new cases were located in Pearl River, Hinds and Copiah counties.

One person in Pearl River, one in Copiah and two in Hinds tested positive.

Earlier cases were located in Leflore and Forrest counties.
