Hargett told authorities the two were involved in an incident in Gulfport, Miss.

Gulfport police contacted St. Tammany deputies and a joint investigation revealed Henry and Hargett were apart of a botched robbery on March 1, the release said.

According to deputies, Henry and Hargett went to Rollins’ Slidell home with the intent to rob him but once Rollins spotted the men, the pair fled and a car chase ensued.

During the chase, gunfire was exchanged and Henry was shot, the release said.

Hargett, 26, was arrested and charged on March 12.

Rollins, 26, was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail on March 12 on unrelated charges. He was rebooked Monday and also charged with attempted first-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a felon, illegal firearm discharged and obstruction of justice.

It’s unclear whether Hargett or Rollins had attorneys who could comment on their behalf.
