So what’s most prevalent underlying condition in coronavirus deaths? Louisiana data provides some clues

The Louisiana Department of Health on Friday provided some interesting insights into the underlying health conditions of the 119 people who have died from COVID-19 coronavirus in the state.

The No. 1 underlying condition was diabetes.

Of the Louisiana deaths, 41 percent of those patients had diabetes, Louisiana Health Department officials report.

Kidney disease was the second-highest underlying factor.
