Coronavirus continues to inch across Mississippi as cases, death toll rise; only 7 of 82 counties haven’t confirmed virus

Mississippi State Health Department officials announced Monday morning the latest number of COVID-19 coronavirus cases in the state and the number (and the death toll) continue to rise.
The state confirmed 847 cases of coronavirus had been found in Mississippi. Sixteen people have died as result of the virus, the state confirmed.

Only 7 of Mississippi’s 82 counties have yet to report a case of the coronavirus. Those include Greene, Issaquena, Jasper, Jefferson Davis, Stone, Tishomingo and Wayne counties.
