Police in a small Mississippi town arrested a woman they say intentionally was walking around in public despite having tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus.

Ackerman, Mississippi, police report officers were dispatched to a location on Highway 15 in Ackerman Wednesday after they were tipped off to a person infected with the disease that’s causing a global pandemic out in a public place.

Police officers arrested Quinyelda Clifton Luckett and charged her with violating health department orders by walking around with a potentially life-threatening communicable disease.

It was not immediately clear if she was taken to jail or merely cited and released.
