Search crews recovered the body of a man who drowned Sunday in the Ross Barnett Reservoir after helping his son safely back on a boat.

On the fourth day of searching crews located the body of Justin Perkins, 33, and removed it from the water Wednesday afternoon.

Perkins, the father of four, was reportedly boating Sunday with some of his family members when he spotted his 5-year-old son had strayed too far from the boat while swimming. Perkins jumped into the water, helped his son back to the boat, then submerged and never resurfaced.
