Parking lot accident leads to deadly shootout on Mississippi interstate

A parking lot fender bender led to an interstate shootout in Mississippi leaving one man dead, police report.

Witnesses said the dispute started in the parking lot of a Luby’s restaurant on I-55 in Jackson when the driver of a Chevrolet Camaro backed into an Acura.

Reportedly the Acura’s owner shot at the Camaro and a chase ensued onto I-55 South.

Shots were fired at the Camaro as the cars sped down the highway.

The Camaro lost control on Interstate 20 in Pearl and the two vehicles collided, WLBT-TV reported.

More shots were reportedly fired and the driver of the Acura was shot several times. He was taken to a Jackson hospital were he died.

The man who was killed was identified at Gabriel Joshua Harper, 22.

Neither the driver of the Camaro nor passengers in each car have been identified.
