Police are searching for a killer in Mississippi who gunned down a man early Tuesday. Investigators say the suspect was wearing a “smiley face” mask over his face and black gloves.

The Vicksburg, Mississippi, man was shot and killed early Tuesday on South Street.

According to details provided by the Vicksburg Police Department, officers responding to a shots fired call on the 1600 block of South Street at 3:20 a.m. discovered 32-year-old Demarcus Maurice Preacely suffering from two gunshot wounds. He died minutes later

Witnesses described the suspect as a short, stocky black male wearing a black “smiley face” mask, a black flannel-like shirt, blue jeans and black gloves.

The suspect has not been identified and investigators are urging the public to help.
