Road rage incident spanning nearly 20 miles ends with driver shot, killed

A road rage incident that continued for nearly 20 miles on a stretch of Interstate in Mississippi ended with one person dead. The suspect is still on the loose.

Mississippi Highway Patrol troopers said the shooting occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. Monday near mile marker 51 along Interstate 10 in Jackson County.

Two drivers became involved in some kind of dispute while traveling on the interstate.

After nearly 20 miles, the driver of a car with Louisiana license plates reportedly fired multiple rounds at a 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup, which was pulling a trailer.

The driver of the truck was struck and pronounced dead later at a local hospital.
