Two Mississippi State University students were killed and another critically injured Sunday night after a single-car accident in DeSoto County.

DeSoto County and Memphis area media report the car carrying three MSU students crashed on Getwell Road near Gray’s Creek in DeSoto County.

Two of the three were declared dead at the scene. A third was reportedly airlifted to a hospital.

The identifies of those involved have not been released and the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office says the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
