A Mississippi police officer has been suspended after allegedly using a racial slur when referencing another officer on the force.
Meridian police officer Joey Lawn is accused of using the N-word to describe another officer.
Lawn is a K-9 officer and has been with the city’s police department for more than 10 years.
The incident reportedly happened two years ago during a training session in Alabama, but just resurfaced, the city’s police chief said.
The officer is suspended with pay under the investigation is completed.
