Reports: Four Mississippi State football players test positive for coronavirus

State media report that four Mississippi State University football players have tested positive for the COVID-19 coronanvirus.

The university has not released the names of the players, but reports they must self-quarantine for two weeks. All four players were reportedly asymptomatic.

The Clarion Ledger, quoting a university spokesman, said approximately 100 football players have been tested.

The affected players are to stay away from other players and avoid team activities until after their quarantine period has passed.

Some Bulldogs players had begun workouts earlier this week on a voluntary basis.
