A Tennessee man was charged with murder for slaying a man at a Mississippi motel this week.

Darius Braddock of Bolivar, Tennessee, was being held on a $1 million bond, WREG-TV in Memphis reported.

Police say Braddock shot Holly Springs, Mississippi, resident Christopher Smith, 34, multiple times. Smith died on the scene.

Officers responded to a call of a shooting at the Super 8 Motel nearly U.S. 78.

They found Smith suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
