Police: Man charged after leaving children, dogs in hot car while teaching child to steal

A Mississippi man was arrested this week after he allegedly left four children and two dogs in a hot car while reportedly teaching another child how to steal from a store.

Impact601.com reported that Bryan Coleman was charged with child neglect and cruelty to animals.

The Laurel Leader Call reported that Coleman, 39 of Bay Springs, was arrested after an employee at a Hattiesburg Walmart spotted the children inside the locked, not running car at approximately noon Monday.

Someone on the scene removed the children from the car and cooled them down in another vehicle while store managers tried to locate the car’s owner.

Store managers told police that Coleman seen coaching a 10-year-old girl how to manipulate pricing while scanning items.
