The Mississippi State Department of Health reported an additional 675 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours bringing the total cases to 26,567. The state estimates more than 19,000 of those cases have fully recovered.

Last Thursday, the state reported a single-day record for new cases with 1,092 cases. Monday’s new case count was the second-highest, single-day case report since the pandemic began in March.
