Three dead after police standoff in Mississippi
Three people are dead after a standoff with police Sunday night in North Mississippi turned violent.
Yalobusha County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the report of a shooting at approximately 5:30 p.m. Sunday, WTVA-TV reported.
Deputies found two women shot and killed and a man barricaded inside the residence.
Law enforcement from surrounding areas and the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded and began trying to negotiate with the man, identified as Ike Harris.
Reportedly Harries did not respond to the attempts to talk with law enforcement officers and after five hours, apparently took his own life inside the residence.
