Mississippi police have arrested a 13-year-old and charged him with manslaughter after they say he was playing with a gun and shot and killed one of his friends.

The incident happened Sunday afternoon in Biloxi. Police were called to an apartment where they found the victim dead from a gunshot wound.

The 13-year-old suspect was reportedly playing along with friends and was showing them the gun and pointing it at them when it went off.

The teen is being charged as an adult, police said, and was held on $250,000 bond.

Neither the suspect nor the victim were immediately identified.
