Louisiana State University police were called to investigate two complaints of hazing at campus fraternities last week, according to police reports.

A complaint detailing “criminal hazing” at Phi Kappa Psi fraternity at the university in Baton Rouge on Sept. 13 was reported to campus police through an online reporting system the next day, The Advocate said Monday, citing the police documents.

A separate incident of possible hazing between active members of the Kappa Sigma fraternity and two new members allegedly happened Sept. 14, according to another police report obtained by news outlets.

However, a public crime log has since listed the second case as “unfounded.” The police documents did not say how the case was first reported but said the complainant was anonymous, WBRZ-TV reported Monday.

Authorities did not describe the circumstances detailed in either account.

An analysis of complaints against LSU fraternities published by The Advocate last year found that there were seven reports against Kappa Sigma from 2016-2019, and two against Phi Kappa Psi during the same period.
