Steady case load: Mississippi’s level of new coronavirus cases remain steady

Mississippi’s daily average of new COVID-19 coronavirus remained stable Tuesday with the latest results from the state.
The Mississippi State Health Department reported 552 new coronavirus cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
The state also reported 12 additional deaths Wednesday. Ten of the deaths reported Wednesday occurred between September 18 and September 29.
In total, 98,190 cases have been found in the state since March. The state believes approximately 89,700 of those cases have recovered.
A total of 2,969 people in Mississippi have died as a result of coronavirus, the state reported.
The 7-day, daily average of new cases remained at 517 with Wednesday’s update.
The 14-day, daily average dropped slightly to 497 cases per day.
