A child who was playing outside is in critical condition Tuesday after being wounded in an apparent drive-by shooting.

#JPD is investigating a shooting that occurred just after 12pm in the 3000 block of Marwood Dr. A small child was wounded while playing outside, after multiple shots were fired from a dark colored SUV with FL plates. Victim was transported and remains in critical condition.

The shooting occurred just after noon in the 3000 block of Marwood Drive, police said. The child was taken to a local hospital and remains in critical condition. The age of the child was not released.
