Escaped Mississippi inmates recaptured
Two escaped Mississippi jail inmates were recaptured less than 24 hours after they assaulted a jailer with a pipe and fled.
Wayne County deputies said Jonathan Kane Brown and Billy Takota Hinton assaulted a jailer with a pipe at approximately midnight and then escaped. The pair were jailed on burglary charges.
After assaulting the jailer at approximately midnight, the inmates threw the jailer in a jail cell and were able to escape.
The pair were recaptured Thursday evening and other people who were with them were also detained and face charges for allegedly helping the escapees.
