Mississippi’s coronavirus cases steady, no new deaths reported
Mississippi’s average number of new COVID-19 coronavirus cases inched higher Monday as the state reported the latest statistics.
The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 365 new cases on Monday, bringing the total cases since the pandemic began in March to 120,865.
Of the total cases, the state believes approximately 105,839 have recovered.
The state reported no new deaths Monday, the first day in which no deaths were reported in more than one week. A total of 3,348 people have died from the virus, the state reported.
The 7-day, daily average of new cases dipped to 729 with Monday’s update.
The 14-day, daily average rose slightly to 734 cases per day.
