Mike Ezell wins 4th District GOP runoff, sending incumbent Palazzo home

A career Mississippi lawman ousted his GOP rival Tuesday in the runoff election for Mississippi’s 4th Congressional District.

Mike Ezell a 40-year lawman and current Jackson County Sheriff defeated incumbent Steven Palazzo, who had served in Congress since 2011.

As the GOP nominee, Ezell will face Democrat Johnny DuPress and Libertarian Alde Patrick Johnson on the ballot in November.
