A Mississippi police officer has been arrested for having a stolen firearm.

WAPT News in Jackson reports that Jackson police officer Jacquez Brown was arrested by officials with the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office.

He was arrested for being in possession of a stolen firearm.

A Jackson Police spokesperson said that Brown is on administrative leave for a personnel matter.
