A teen missing in Tennessee has been found dead in Mississippi.

WSMV in Nashville reports that an investigation is underway in the death of Hunter Carroll, 17.

Carroll had been previously reported missing out of Wayne County, Tennessee.

Officials from the Saltillo, Mississippi, Police Department contacted the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office after discovering Carroll dead.

Saltillo is about 100 miles from Wayne County. Details surrounding Carroll’s death and how the teen ended up in Saltillo have not been released.
