Mississippi woman arrested after baby with drugs in system died

Galle Reynolds was arrested and charged with one count of Felonious Child Abuse by the Gulfport Police Department recently.

On October 18, the Gulfport Police Department was contacted by Child Protective Services regarding a complaint of child abuse.

Through the course of the investigation, it was discovered Reynolds was 37 weeks pregnant when she gave birth to a child who later died. Lab results revealed THC, Amphetamines, and Fentanyl were present in the infant’s system upon birth.

Detectives were able to determine Reynolds allegedly took several pills containing fentanyl and methamphetamine during and up to a week prior to giving birth.

Reynolds was processed and transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center where she was held in lieu of her $250,000 bond.
