Mississippi police make quick work of burglary case; suspects arrested before crime reported

A Mississippi police department made quick work of investigation a burglary because the suspects were found to have already been arrested.
Tupelo police officers responded to Maynard Drive in reference to the crime.
“Before this incident was reported, TPD officers attempted to stop a dark colored passenger car on Cliff Gookin Blvd,” a statement from TPD reads. “The vehicle fled from officers, and the vehicle stopped around S. Green Street, where a foot chase ensued.”
Police were able to apprehend and arrest Damarcus Williams, 26, of Shannon, and LaMarco Tate, 18, of Shuqualak. Police said stolen items were recovered in the vehicle.
Both were charged with burglary of a dwelling and possession of burglary tools. Bond was denied for each person and additional charges are possible.
