Mississippi Skies: Clouds return Thursday. Is that snowy weather coming?

Published 8:32 pm Wednesday, November 22, 2023

One pesky model caused some folks to celebrate a snowy forecast for Halloween and again for Thanksgiving in Mississippi. Of course, we know that model isn’t very reliable, especially that far out in both cases, causing a lot of hoopla for nothing. Here we are at Turkey Day and our temperatures are above “snowy” temperatures, but we are much more seasonable the next couple of days.

One Mississippi event much more reliable than a forecast throwing all its marbles into that one model is the Egg Bowl. If one is cold-natured, grab a jacket for the game as it’s going to be cloudy with a chance of a shower or two throughout the game. Winds will be around 5 miles per hour. We’re looking at a temperature around 47 during pregame, dropping to 43 by the end of the game.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
