Mississippi Skies: Next shot of cold temperatures, rainy weather heading our way

Published 12:39 am Friday, November 24, 2023

The kickoff to the Christmas shopping season will enjoy some partly cloudy skies with chilly temperatures Friday. High school football playoff games will be clear and cold as the last few teams battle for state championship slots.

We’ll become partly cloudy across most of the state Friday morning with light breezes and highs in the 50s and 60s across the state. The only region that may have a few persistent clouds throughout the day is along the Gulf Coast.

Saturday is shaping up to be nice, but our next round of rain moves in Saturday night and Sunday. We will see another shot of cooler air behind that system.
