Mississippi Skies: Cold weather settling into the Magnolia State. How far will freezing temps reach?

Published 7:48 pm Sunday, November 26, 2023

Monday will be a nice, sunny day, but don’t let the blues skies fool you before walking out the door. It’s going to be breezy and chilly across the state with some people only peaking with a high of 47. It will be in the 60s towards the Gulf Coast, but even along the beaches, we’ll dip into the 30s Monday night.

The northern half of the state will be at or below freezing Monday night. Tuesday night, we’ll have a chance for the entire state, even along the Gulf, to dip below freezing temperatures.

We’ll have a warmup later in the week with some storms possible towards the weekend. We’ll know more details in a day or two, but state championship games in Oxford Thursday and Friday could get a little soggy.
