Five people arrested in death of teen gunned down in hail of bullets outside Mississippi convenience store

Four teenagers and one adult have been arrested in connection with the death of a 17-year-old who was gunned down outside a Mississippi convenience store on Thanksgiving Eve.

Columbus police have arrested 24-year-old Rufus Lee Neal III along with IJohnny Coleman, 17; Tavaris Mixon Jr., 18; Rasheed Neal, 17, and Kenzel Guyton, 17.

WTVA in Tupelo reports that Neal was arrested Tuesday night and charged with murder.

Columbus Police Chief Joseph Daughtry said Neal turned himself in to police after a search warrant was served outside the city limits with the assistance of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office.

All of the suspects have been charged with the murder of Labronze Moore, 17, who was killed outside of the Columbus Ready Mart on Wednesday, Nov. 22, the day before Thanksgiving.

WTVA reports that nearly 30 bullet were believed to have been fired in the incident.
