“I couldn’t be more excited to have the partnership with the LINK result in a project that brings jobs and activity to NorthStar Park. She noted, “It is especially exciting to have an international, high-profile company like Amazon show their belief in the benefits of having a new and substantial presence in Starkville. I have always believed that our partnership with Oktibbeha County and OCEDA would yield long-term economic development for our community and the region. When we partner we create the best chances for our mutual success.”

Launch plans for this facility are in the early stages, with internal construction slated to begin in the coming weeks and progress over the next year.

The project is slated to create 90 full-time and part-time jobs. Locating the project was a team effort between The Golden Triangle Development LINK, the Oktibbeha County Economic Development Authority, and Agracel, Inc.

Clayton McKinnon, Regional Development Director at Agracel, expressed gratitude for the growing collaboration with Starkville and the Golden Triangle. “We are thrilled to join forces with Amazon, fostering a promising and enduring relationship. Amazon’s global presence in Starkville promises a significant boost to the local economy. Our commitment to the region remains steadfast,” McKinnon affirmed.

Joe Max Higgins, CEO of The LINK equally expressed the same enthusiasm as his partners. “Amazon joining the Northstar Industrial Park epitomizes the caliber of companies we’ve always aimed for in this cutting-edge industrial hub. As this speculative building finds its tenant, we shift focus to our newly constructed pad next door, ready for the next major success at the park”
