Shots fired in Mississippi restaurant parking lot after man confronts suspect breaking into his truck

Shots were fired in a Mississippi restaurant parking lot after the owner of a truck reportedly confronted someone who was breaking into his vehicle.

Olive Branch Police reports that dispatchers received a call at 12:54 PM of “Shots Fired” in the parking lot of the Olive Branch Huey’s (8179 McGregor Crossing).

Upon arrival, Olive Branch Police Officers secured the scene and spoke with witnesses regarding the incident.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a suspect was found to be breaking into a victim’s truck.

The owner of the truck was exiting the restaurant and confronted the suspect.

An altercation ensued. The suspect stole a weapon from the vehicle, but the owner of the vehicle was able to retrieve the weapon from the suspect during the altercation.

The suspect then fled the scene with three other accomplices who began firing toward the victim.

No one was injured.

The suspects are described as four black males in their late teens.

The two vehicles are described as a Black Camaro and a Black Charger. They left in the direction of Goodman Road (302) to Highway 78 towards Memphis.

This is an ongoing investigation.
