Mississippi Skies: Rainy weather continues across the Magnolia State

For anyone without a decent amount of rain yet, your chance is coming.

Most of the state will continue having rain chances, at lease Saturday morning. We could have some heavy rainfall before the day is over. We aren’t expecting enough to knock out the drought, but we do hope to get enough to make a dent.

North Mississippi

Showers and storms in the morning with a few stray showers in the afternoon. High of 62. Mostly cloudy Saturday night with a slight chance of a shower. Low of 48.

Central Mississippi

Rain likely, especially in the morning. Cloudy with a high of 66. A few more showers in the evening, then heavy rain will be possible overnight. Low of 50.

South Mississippi

Showers early with a high of 69. Saturday night, a few more showers and storms possible. Low of 54. Storms could be strong to severe.

Gulf Coast

Showers are likely with a thunderstorm possible. High of 73. Overnight, more showers are likely with a storm or two. Low of 61.
