The vehicle led officers from Pearl into the Jackson city limits and north onto Interstate 55. While on I-55, a Pearl police vehicle was involved in an accident near the Jackson Waterworks.

The officer in the vehicle was injured and transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

The chase continued onto Woodrow Wilson Avenue in Jackson, where the driver of the vehicle lost control, struck two other vehicles and wrecked in front of Children’s Hospital.

The suspect was taken into custody, and the reported missing juvenile was recovered safely.

No one in the other vehicles was injured.

The teen driver of the vehicle is being charged with Felony Fleeing and is being held in the Rankin County Juvenile Detention Center.

The other juvenile was listed as a missing person from the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina.
