Mississippi 13-year-old charged with murder in mother’s death

A Mississippi 13-year-old has been arrested in connection with her mother’s death.

WTVA reports that Lydia Flowers, 13, will be charged as an adult and is facing numerous charges including first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and attempted murder.

Her mother, Lou Ann Jones, was found dead inside her home on A. W. Williams Drive in Starkville on Dec. 5.

When her mother was found dead, authorities were looking for Flowers who had disappeared.

Flower was then located and arrested in the case. Her bond has been set at $1.2 million.

A second suspect has also been arrested in the case.

Nathaniel Davis, 23, of West Point, faces first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and accessory after the fact to attempted murder charges. He also received a $1.2 million bond.
