Knife-wielding robber of Mississippi pizza place arrested

A man suspected of robbing a Mississippi pizza counter at knifepoint has been taken into custody.

Brookhaven Police officers report that the suspect in a Sunday night robbery on Brookway Boulevard.

At approximately 10 p.m., a black male suspect wielding a knife robbed Domino’s Pizza inside the Marathon gas station at 975 Brookway Blvd.

Police officers and Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded.

The suspect was identified as Kenneth Harris Jr., 923 Williams St., Brookhaven.

On Monday, Police Chief Kenneth Collins asked family members and friends of Harris to encourage him to turn himself in.

Harris was arrested Monday afternoon and booked into the Lincoln County Jail on charges of armed robbery, misdemeanor taking of a motor vehicle, simple assault by menace or fear, and contempt of court.
