Mississippi Skies: Southern breeze to bring warmer weather heading into Christmas weekend

Published 9:09 pm Wednesday, December 20, 2023

After several days of northerly winds keeping us dry and cool, the wind is changing direction. Now, we’ll have southerly breezes with warmer temperatures, clouds, and moist air.

Rain chances won’t begin for a couple of days, but they’ll be just in time for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We’ll also have a decent chance of thunderstorms, especially on Christmas Day.

As of now, models are holding back on severe weather. It looks like most, if not all, storms will remain below severe limits.
