Jefferson Davis County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to 57 Barnes Avenue in Bassfield at approximately 9:05 Tuesday night with reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found Patrick Snow, 46, of Bassfield, sitting in his vehicle, dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

Thursday afternoon, Laquilla Owens, 26, of Bassfield, turned himself in to the Jefferson Davis County Sheriff’s Office and was charged with murder.
