Mississippi Skies: Christmas Eve is here! With Sunday’s weather, Santa may trade cookies and milk for soup and dry socks.

Rudolph and his buddies will certainly have their work cut out for them Sunday night as the Grinch tries to stop Santa from his Mississippi travels!

We’re expecting widespread rain, some possibly heavy, and gusty winds across the state. Santa’s flight will have some turbulence, especially in northern Mississippi. Kids, don’t worry, though! Santa and the reindeer are well-fitted for nasty weather!

A few rumbles of thunder are possible at times in the afternoon and overnight. The lightning will actually help Santa see better through the heavy rain. It’s very important for kids to still go to bed on time, even if it’s storming. We’ll want to all go to sleep before Santa and his crew arrive so they can go a little faster than normal to get to better weather!
