Mississippi Skies: Much colder weather on the way with a slight chance of snow remaining for a few of us

Although at least half of Mississippi will reach into the 60s Wednesday, the entire state will get much colder Wednesday night. Temperatures will range from the 20s in the north to 30s in the south with most of us at our below freezing temperatures.
We’ll also have a stretch of sunny, nice days. The only chance for precipitation is in far northern Mississippi Thursday night into Friday morning, and that’s when it could get interesting for a few of us. We’re not expecting any travel issues, but there could be a few snowflakes for a couple of hours.
North Mississippi
Sunny with a high of 54. Partly cloudy Wednesday night with a low of 28.
