A Mississippi woman who was reported missing was found dead on Christmas Eve with multiple gunshot wounds.

Officials with the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office report that Tazah Amethyst Hosey, 30, was discovered dead in a vehicle on a road just outside the Magee city limits shortly before 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Hosey had been reported missing the day before by her father.

Deputies discovered Hosey deceased with multiple gunshot wounds in the vehicle on Paul Kennedy Road.

The death is being investigated as a homicide by the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office.
