Man wanted for gruesome Mississippi murder suspected of robbing a Subway on the other side of the state

A man wanted for capital murder in Scott County is suspected a robbing a Subway restaurant on the other side of the state Monday. He allegedly got there in a stolen vehicle.

According to the Scott County Sheriff’s Department, Sammy Patrick is suspected of robbing a Subway in Wilkinson County.

“Sammy Patrick robbed a Subway in Wilkinson County this afternoon,” a statement reads. “This is a picture of Patrick and the vehicle he was driving … The vehicle was stolen on Old Highway 21. The disabled tag number is DBW5119.”

There is now a $5,000 reward for the apprehension of Patrick.

As previously reported by Magnolia State Live, the sheriff’s office information shows an elderly woman was shot, sexually assaulted, and then set on fire. Patrick is the main suspect in the attack.

“Sammy Patrick is considered armed and dangerous,” a statement from the department reads.
