A Mississippi husband and wife are dead in what police believe is the result of a murder-suicide.

Officials from the Ellisville Police Department were called to 504 Dobson Street early Tuesday morning for a welfare check.

When officers arrived on the scene at approximately 5 a.m. and entered the residence, they discovered the bodies of Terrance Coney, 38, and Nichole Coney, 33.

After a preliminary investigation, police listed the cause of death as gunshot wounds as the result of domestic violence murder-suicide.

Officials with the Ellisville Police Department continue to investigate the incident.
