Mississippi man to be charged with making terroristic threat after running from alleged domestic assault

A Mississippi Sheriff’s Department arrested a man for domestic violence – simple assault and expect a forthcoming making of terroristic threats charge.

Tyrone Scott, 52, of Tunica, was arrested Wednesday by the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office in the area of Highway 3 and Bob Crenshaw Road. They were assisted by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

The department reported earlier Wednesday that Scott allegedly cut his girlfriend with a knife Tuesday and left the scene. Then on Wednesday, a “Be on the Lookout” was issued for Scott after Scott reported to police that he was “going to commit an active shooting somewhere.”

The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office release also reported officers will work with Veterans Affairs counselors to assist Scott.
