Mississippi man already out on bond on murder charge accused of stabbing mother

A Mississippi man out on bond on a murder charge is back in custody after he reportedly stabbed his mother.
WTVA in Tupelo reports that Edward Bush, of West Point, is accused of stabbing his mother on Tuesday, Jan. 2.
Bush reportedly stabbed his mother on Simmons Road in Clay County and then led deputies on a chase along Highway 50 West.
With the help of a barricade, Bush was taken into custody.
Bush was already out on bond on a 2022 murder charge. He is accused of murdering Demontra Ewing in Leflore County. Bush had also been previously charged with aggravated assault for allegedly shooting his brother.
