Mississippi Skies: Warm sunshine, tornadoes, and windchills in the teens all possible in our weather forecast

Published 11:21 pm Tuesday, January 9, 2024

Wednesday will be sunny across the state, but it’s still going to be quite chilly with highs in the 40s to lower-50s and gusty winds.

We’ll be looking at another round of severe weather Thursday night into Friday. All modes of severe weather are possible again.

By Monday, we could be looking at some of the coldest weather we’ve had in a while. Depending on what happens, we may have 20s reach all the way to the beaches. All gusty winds into the mix, and we’ll be dealing with some temps dipping to between zero to 10 degrees windchill with a few negative temps possible in places. We could also have some wintry mischief from the skies. All of this could change before it arrives, so we’ll have to keep an eye on the models.
