If you’re on spring break this week or have other outdoor plans, relax and enjoy Wednesday as it will be the last day until Monday next week without rain chances.
Weather forecast models are showing several rounds of showers and thunderstorms from mainly Thursday afternoon through Sunday morning. We can expect heavy rainfall with these storms.
We’ve also had our first severe weather threat issued for the Thursday round. According to the Storm Prediction Center, a Level 1 risk stretches from Natchez to Jackson to Eupora and includes the Mississippi River communities and the Delta region.
In this risk zone, severe storms, damaging winds, and hail are possible late Thursday into Friday.
